John Lobosco is an abstract artist, musician (clarinet/saxophone), tinkerer/ builder of things, and educator.  John has exhibited his work at the Attleboro Arts Museum, Brown University, Massachusetts College of Art, the New Jersey Print Council, and the MPG, Mark, and Kingston Galleries in Boston and Cambridge. Upcoming exhibits will be at the Touch Gallery in Cambridge, MA and the Albright Gallery in Concord, MA in early 2013.  In 2009, John was honored with the position of Andy Warhol Artist in Residence in New York, an opportunity to continue and advance his artistic development and experimentation.  John’s work is known for its illumination and energy.  Ellen Howards, a prominent Boston art critic and former editor of “Arts Media” described John’s work as follows:  “There is a reverence for capturing illumination.…exhilarating, wrought with roiling, ionic energy.”

John teaches Painting/Drawing Studio classes and teaches Visual Arts Literacy at Gann Academy, Studio Art at the Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly, and music at the Lexington Montessori Middle School. John also plays clarinet in the Marhaba Orkestra, a classical Turkish music group, with works including Ottoman Classical Music, and light-hearted dance music.  John graduated with honors from the Massachusetts College of Art.
