Touch art gallery is please to present “Parallel Universes” an African art exhibition by Kara Fall & Katrien Kolenberg. Opening reception is October 4th from 5-9 PM.
Ibrahima Nabi Youbi Coulibaly (aka Kara Fall) was born in Dakar, Senegal (West Africa), but his roots are in Mali (West Africa), in the Dogon culture. As a self-taught artist, his work includes paintings, sculptures, sculpture on canvas, furniture, installations, and interior design. Since 1997 Kara Fall has held numerous individual exhibitions in Senegal and the US, and took part in group shows in Africa, Europe and the US. Nowadays Kara Fall resides between Cambridge MA, and Dakar, Senegal, where he has a studio in the Village des Arts. He also does installations and interior design work on commission.
Katrien Kolenberg
Katrien Kolenberg was born in Leuven, Belgium. Artistic expression and scientific exploration have always gone hand in hand in her experience of life. She currently works as an astrophysicist at the Harvard Observatory (Cambridge MA) where she investigates the sounds of stars. Her artistic work includes mostly drawings, paintings, and ceramics.
She has created poster designs and book covers, and made numerous illustrations for various occasions. She also does portraits, paintings and illustrations on commission.
Both Kara and Katrien had a lot of exhibition around the US, Canada and Europe . Please join us for the exhibition, meet artists and enjoy live music and light refreshment Friday Oct. 4th from 5-9PM.
